Event Specialists runs food and beverage operations at events. Since 1989, across music festivals, sporting events, air shows, entertainment productions, and corporate hospitality throughout Southern California.

That means more than cooking. It means menu development, culinary production, staffing, on-site kitchen infrastructure, equipment, inventory, purchasing, point-of-sale, permitting, load-in, load-out, and settlement reporting: the infrastructure an event needs before a single guest is served.

We work at the scale where that infrastructure is the difference between a service that holds and one that fails in public.

Events, clients and partners

What We Do

Full-service catering for corporate events, private celebrations, productions, and the people who build them.

Corporate

Breaks that land between sessions, executive hospitality on its own clock, and one account lead across the whole program.

Weddings & Private Events

Plated, buffet, or stations, with the timeline built backward from the toast. Bar service under our own license.

Production & Crew

Crew meals, craft services, and artist and VIP hospitality for film, television, commercial, and live production. Boxed, buffet, or plated. Built around the call sheet. Productions run long and change late, and the meal program has to move with them rather than against them.

Bars & Beverage

Bar programs sized to pour speed, not headcount, so nobody queues through a keynote. Our own license, permits handled.

The Operation

Most food and beverage problems at an event are not cooking problems.

One operator instead of five vendors who each blame the others.

What Else We Do

Concessions, activations, and full-scale event operations.

Event Specialists staff serving from a cart at a festival

Festivals & Large-Scale Events

Multi-stand operations across a footprint, run as one system. Permitting, staffing, cashless POS, and a single reconciled settlement.

Venue & Recurring Contracts

The same footprint forty times a year. Fixed stand assignments, standing par levels, and a returning core crew.

Branded Activations

Custom carts and bars built and wrapped to the creative, then run on the day by the people who built them.

In their words

“Three stages, two days, and a bar that never stopped moving. They loaded in before we did and were still standing at the end of it. Nothing about the food and beverage side became my problem.”

Questions

Can you work a venue with no kitchen?

Yes. We build a full working kitchen on site and bring everything it needs: refrigerated trucks, sinks, potable water, gray water tanks, canopies and flooring.

How late can we change the guest count?

Decreases need at least two weeks' notice before the event. Increases need at least one week.

Do you handle permits and health department filings?

Yes, we handle the permitting. Depending on the event, the fees are paid either by us or by the client, and we agree that up front.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry a $5 million general liability policy and can add your venue, or anyone else you need, as additional insured on the certificate.

How far do you travel?

We work across the Western United States, and for the right event, anywhere in the country. A second warehouse in Ohio runs a smaller fleet of carts and booths covering the East Coast, from Washington, DC to Florida.

What is your minimum?

It depends on the services you book. Tell us what you need and we'll quote it.

Do you handle POS and settlement reporting?

Yes. Every transaction runs through our POS system. You can watch sales live or get a full sales report at the end of each day, with settlement breakdowns.
